Halifax is a town of steep slopes, stone terraces and former mills, all of which suit mice. We find how they got in and set about removing them.
Many Halifax terraces were built on slopes, and the rows step down the hill with shared walls and stacked cellars. Mice can use gaps at cellar level and move upwards through voids. Former mill buildings, now housing flats, offices or workshops, share the problem on a larger scale, with ducts and service openings running through several floors. Nobody sees these voids until a nest is found.
Around the Piece Hall and town centre, shops, cafes and takeaways create a steady flow of waste and deliveries, so mice find food readily at ground level. We carry out surveys of the premises and set out realistic steps for storage, bins and doors. In homes we look at kitchens, under-stair spaces and lofts. Commercial service contracts are available for businesses wanting regular checks.
Cellars are cool, quiet and often have old pipes and gaps at ground level. Mice use them as a base, then travel upwards through voids. Checking them is a standard part of our survey. They also hold old pipework that runs up through the house.
It depends on the diary that day. Call 0113 347 0014 or message us on WhatsApp, and we will tell you what is available. Same-day appointments are offered where there is space. Please do not wait for a signal, as early contact is always better.
